About MoneroLink

MoneroLink is a complementary block explorer that reveals the hidden linkages between Monero transactions.

This website accompanies a technical report, "An Empirical Analysis of Linkability in the Monero Blockchain", by researchers at the following organizations:

  • Decentralized Systems Lab @ UIUC
  • Princeton University
  • Initiative for Cryptocurrenices and Contracts

This site does NOT provide a real-time view of the Monero blockchain. It only shows data from the first 1236196 blocks, up to January 31, 2017. We do not store, or serve, any personally identifying information about any user. This website only visualizes information derived from public data contained within the Monero blockchain itself.

MoneroLink is modestly served from a postgres database on an EC2 t2.micro, thus it is likely to struggle under heavy traffic. proudly served from a beefy EC2 m3.medium, safely ensconced within CloudFlare's protective embrace. We plan to release our source code soon so that anyone can replicate our results.
